Today is Thanksgiving (and my amazing husbands born day!) and although I am not really into the whole Plymouth Rock story thing, I stress the idea of being thankful and showing gratitude, being around people that you love and of course – eating that banging ass food that for some unknown reason only taste good on this one day each year. Either way, I wanted to share some things that I am thankful for!
A place to call home – Believe it or not, this is not something easy to come by. Working with so many different organizations and doing service has helped me to appreciate having a roof over my head and a warm familiar place to call home.
My Husband – He is the most annoying, messy, loving, caring, hardworking, understanding man and father and I love and appreciate him every second for it.
My Son (My Rainbow after an ugly storm) – My SONshine, he is everything I imagined he would be after experiencing so much before him. I simply did not know what love was until I met this little nugget and everyday I am more and more thankful and grateful to be his mother.
The Twins – They are still cooking but I have to admit that through all of the initial mixed emotions, I am truly blessed and thankful to be expecting a double dose of joy!
Family – I love them – through the ups, downs and inside outs they are the root of who I am and I am thankful for them.
Opportunities – Every opportunity that has presented itself to me lately has been amazing! The opportunity to obtain my master’s degree, raise an amazing child, travel and even write for you amazing people!
Good Health – Outside of being hella tired all of the time – even with adequate sleep, good physical and mental health are very important to me and I am thankful for the positive mind frame that I have chosen to live in and relish in the way my body treats me because of it.
Growth and Knowledge – I am thankful for the growth I experience each day and the wealth of knowledge I get from everyday conversations, Gabriel, work, etc.
Sharing my story – and all of the beautiful people that can relate to what I have to say. I am thankful for all of you, sincerely!
I encourage you all to bask in it; all that you are grateful for. Love each other and really, really appreciate all that is around you. Even just for a moment from our busy lives! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
